The palm tree is a symbol of the desert region of southern Tunisia, where dates are widely grown. As part of an upcycling approach, we developed a reflection on the processing of palm wood. Unlike olive wood, palmwood is soft and fragile.
      A series of experiments have enabled us to develop a process for carving the wood from its mass, as well as inventive solutions to the challenges of its assembly. The techniques we have perfected make the creations in this collection unique and emblematic. The entire process is carried out by hand: this is the material that demands the most work and care.
       The Tmar collection now comprises a catalog of shapes with elementary lines, inspired by the country’s African influences, which are mainly concentrated in these southern regions.
